A Guide to Getting Free Stuff
When spending as much time working online as I do, you get to know lots of ways to get stuff cheaper or even free. If you spend time looking you'll be surprised at how many great offers there are to be had.
When I tell people about these offers, the biggest response I get is 'I can't be bothered to look for them'. I too was once guilty of this, it was only due to the type of work I now do that I managed to stumble across a few very interesting sites that got me interested.
Finding legitimate sites that give out useful information can be time consuming, there are many rouge web sites that lead you in to a false sense of security before they surprise you with the 'catch'.
Here's a good one to get you started, moneysavingexpert.com is a site produced by Martin Lewis, and you may have seen him on the TV or heard him on the radio. Not only does he give advice on mortgages and loans he also keep you up to date with great offers like 2 for 1 deals, cash back deals and even has a section on freebies.
Keeping an eye out for great sites like this is a great way to keep up to date with the best offers around, get yourself on a mailing list too. It's a good idea to set up a new email account for this sort of stuff just in case you get on the wrong sort of mailing lists.
It's not just the samples and token gifts that are available free of charge, if you are looking for something a bit more substantial such as a new TV or an iPod, you may be surprised to hear that items like these can be obtained at no cost and very little effort. Due to a unique type of online advertising, some websites give stuff like this away just to get you interested in their product.
This sounds as though it shouldn't work, but with the big names in advertising getting involved something must be working for them. Sites such as freeplaystation.net and freeiphone4you.co.uk require you to sign up, take up an offer and get a certain amount of your friends to do the same before giving you the free gift. The offer you need to sign up for is usually a free trail, so you shouldn't need to spend any money, thus making this a completely free offer.
