What are possible risks of NOT repairing a wrecked, but drivable car?
I'm writing an article and want to try and include all risks...safety, possible future collisions, rust, etc. Let's assume the auto is paid for and it is legal to keep insurance money paid instead of having auto body work completed. Studies have shown that people are doing this, both legally and illegally and blaming the economy. They are simply using the money for other things and leaving the car in various states of disrepair, from small scratches and dents to crumpled doors that don't open anymore.
Please help me add to my list of risks and dangers, both large and small. Thank you.

Auto body work, how to make it glossy shine?
After fixed my son's car damaged body, I spray paint the base coat, then, clear coat...but I don't see it glossy shine even if the 'clear coat' paint said it is 'glossy'? Did I miss some steps?

does anybody know the cost of auto body work?
I have a white 2005 Pontiac g6 and in the rear right corner it have a dent the size of a hand (damage on the metal not the plastic bumper). it detached from the bottom plastic bumper and the only damage is to the left side of the brake light above the bumper.

the damage is above the line of the bumper, where it meets with the actual metal body. dented to left of brake light and detached from slots on bumper (i guess to hold the two joints together.
if any body can tell me an estimate of what they think it would cost to fix this at an average auto body place, it would be greatly appreciated.
i did forget to mention it does have scrapes so in does need to be sanded and painted.
