Classic Auto Body Restoration?
I am restoring my 1962 Ford Thunderbird and I have a quick question about the body. I have already replaced the panels that were rusted through, as well as sanded down all the little surface rust. Now I am working on the rest of the body. The rest of the body is very clean, original paint looks great, however I will naturally want to repaint it, how far down should I be sanding and what would be the preferred method? Should I just wet-sand to a certain point or what? I obviously don't want to strip it down to metal but I am curious as to what would be the best course of action?
