How to check transmission fluid on 1976 Corvette 4spd.?
Hello! I have a 1976 Chevrolet Corvette 350 L-48 4spd. I looked around the engine compartment and could not find the dipstick to check the transmission fluid! Also, my shifter has gotten a bit stubborn. It doesn't have much smooth free play to jiggle around in neutral anymore.. it has recently became like this. It also seems harder to switch between the left side of the gears (1&2), to the right side (3&4). Any insights would be great..maybe it needs some lube? I was considering purchasing a new shifter anyways, any suggestions? Thank you.

Exhaust for 1976 Corvette Stingray?
I live in Chicago, and I own a beautiful 1976 Corvette Stringray L-48 350ci 4 speed. The first thing I want to do to it when the spring rolls around is attatch a new exhaust system. I believe the current exhaust to be stock (y pipe), and it is not very loud at all. I am a younger guy (20), and I want to give it the mean exhaust from hell sound. My current plan is to make it true dual with a just a glass pack on each side to tone it down a little bit (no cats), and have it come out the sides with some nice exhaust tips just before the rear tires. Any insight to how this might sound and perhaps any better ideas? I appreciate it. I would do the full on headers to real sidepipes, but I am currently under a budget, so I am trying to get the best quality sound with as little effort as possible. Also, would anyone know what size pipes would be best to use with my hijinx? Thanks.
